Change Facebook poke to tickle

A YouTuber called thewinkone has set up a new petition on Facebook to change the 'poke' to a 'tickle'. You can find the humourous video here. Poking on Facebook can mean a number of different things. For example, to initiate conversation; for fun and because you like the other person.

Thewinkone believes it is awkward when a straight guy poke every other straight guy on Facebook which has lead to the creation of this FB group. He also believes that if the change is implemented, the guys will think that tickling isn’t manly so will stop the poking.

Singing Chinese Man

Yesterday, I wrote a post on the Chinese Michael Jackson where the Chinese boy in the video mimicked the words of a MJ song using facial expression. However, today I have discovered an even worst singer, and yes he is Chinese. This man sings covers of famous singer like the Pussycat dolls and Ricky Martin. His YouTube handle is hitmanbreakeroftheye and his videos have received more than 500,000 views. This man has disabled the video embedding on his videos, so checkout an example of his singing here.

A lot of people have been rating this video very highly. I think because this man is so bad, that he is good which is why people are rating his videos.

Flexitarian

You may have heard of a vegetarian and a non – vegetarian, but did you know there is something in between these two terms. It called “flexitarian” which is basically a vegetarian that sometimes eats meat.

I think this word is rather stupid. A person who eats vegetable and meat is classed a non – vegetarian. Why would you give a separate word for a person who sometimes eats meat, they are still non- vegetarian.

Stealing your sandwich

Have you ever worry a co-worker would steal your delicious homemade sandwich at lunchtime? Now, you don’t need to worry because the “Anti theft lunch bag” has been invented. The anti theft bag is a sandwich bag with green patches printed on both sides. This prevents people from munching your sandwich as the green patches give the illusion of mould or dirt, when the sandwich is placed inside the bag.

I suppose you could actually make these bags yourself, instead of buying them. You could just paint some green paint on both sides. But make sure your bag has no holes in it or it could taste rather grim.

I don’t think I would pay money for this invention, when you could just keep your sandwich hidden somewhere on your desk. Or if you are desperate you could write a message on the bag using a marker pen.

Statues with side burns

Statues with side burns is a blog which contains wonderful images of statues with side burns. Well not exactly, the side burns are actually an accumulation of dirt which is suppose to represent side burns. The statues are located all over the world.

I think this blog is particularly creative. Its taking something mundane like a statue and transforming it into something humorous and thought provoking at the same time.

Playground spring

This idiot purposely gets hit in the head by a playground spring toy. He probably thought it was real funny at the time. But ended up in hospital with head injuries and needed to get surgery for his head.

Either this guy is really stupid or peer pressure got the better of him. The force of the spring toy must have been fairly powerful as it knock him to the ground.

Black google

Blackle

Just come across a black version of google. This site claims that "750 Mega watts a year" can be saved by using this site. Ha.

Allegedly black screens save energy as white screens require more energy to power up. This is completely unproven and really doubt that it make any difference whatsoever.

I believe the creators of this site are cashing in on the fact that the search results display
ads which they get paid for. So, blackle is not really a "black version of google" it's a "scam version of google".

There are plenty more ways to save energy and this is not one of them. I don't recommend using blackie as a search engine and don't even bother bookmarking the site.

Blackie signature is "Saving energy one search at a time". Double ha. Well, i think you should save your own energy and don't use this site, at all !!

Toasty Toasty

New Toaster

I purchase a new toaster today and noticed some useful information with the instruction manual, NOT!

Some of the information provided is just plain ridiculous for example remove loose fruit. Must be a typing error.

  • Thick bread, fresh or whole wheat bread will require higher setting than normal.
  • Remove loose fruit before toasting to prevent pieces falling into the toaster or sticking to the heat element and cause damage.
  • Uneven toasting is usually due to bread slices of uneven thickness.
  • Never touch the internal part of the toaster with a brush or any other implement.
  • Bread may burn. Therefore toasters must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible fuels must not be used with this appliance. They must be watched.
  • To protect against electric shock, do not place the toaster in water or any other liquid.
