Toasty Toasty

New Toaster

I purchase a new toaster today and noticed some useful information with the instruction manual, NOT!

Some of the information provided is just plain ridiculous for example remove loose fruit. Must be a typing error.

  • Thick bread, fresh or whole wheat bread will require higher setting than normal.
  • Remove loose fruit before toasting to prevent pieces falling into the toaster or sticking to the heat element and cause damage.
  • Uneven toasting is usually due to bread slices of uneven thickness.
  • Never touch the internal part of the toaster with a brush or any other implement.
  • Bread may burn. Therefore toasters must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible fuels must not be used with this appliance. They must be watched.
  • To protect against electric shock, do not place the toaster in water or any other liquid.
