Woman boils man’s head

Some people are just plain odd stupid like, Lin Zongxiu from China. The woman believed that, if she boiled a man head in a soup. It would cure her daughter’s psychiatric problems, so this is exactly what Lin Zongxiu did. She and her husband murdered a drunken man and chopped his head off, then boiled it into soup for her daughter.

This has led me to believe the mother also had psychiatric problems. As, why would boiling a man head help psychiatric problems? It is very strange that people have these kinds of believes.
