Caught with pigeons in trousers

Some people smuggle drugs into the country, but a strange Australian traveller smuggled two live pigeons by stuffing down his trousers. The man was caught by custom officers when they searched his luggage and found two eggs in a vitamin container. I guess the man was then told to strip, as two pigeons were found strapped to his leg inside envelopes.



Australia has a very strict regulation on the importation of wildlife. The man could face 10 years in jail. What I don’t get is, why you would strap two live pigeons to your legs. There are plenty of pigeons in Australia and i noticed that the man has a rip in his socks.
