Food for pot

An almost certainly intoxicated man tried to pay for his meal with marijuana, at McDonald. Luckily, the cashier is not an idiot, the cashier called the police. The man, Pannullo, was later charged with possession of cannabis.

Why the heck would you pay for food with pot? I think this man thought it would be funny if it could work, but he never considered the consequences of getting arrested.
