Golf ball hit

This clumsy golfer hits a golf ball off a wall and somehow manages hits his friend in the head. What was the golfer trying to accomplish by hitting the ball off the wall. He knew it was going to bounce back.

The man that got hit seems to be in tremendous pain a massive lump is revealed the next day.
