85yr old woman scares burglar

An 85 year old woman awoken in the middle of the night by a burglar, find her .22 calibre gun and confronts the burglar. She then forces the intruder to phone the police while she pointed the gun at him. When the police arrived the old woman claims the whole event was “exciting” and hopes she broke up the burglary ring. I'm not sure what she means by burglary ring.

The burglar, only 17 years old, will be charged with attempted burglary. This burglar seems to have robbed the wrong house. Not only did the old lady prevent her house from being burgled, but made the thief feel stupid by making him phone the police.
